Ultrasonic Flaw Detector In Bucket Teeth Process

In the process of excavator bucket teeth, you need to ultrasonic flaw detection. There are various types of bucket teeth. Ultrasonic flaw detector with the pulse reflection type is most widely used in market.

Generally speaking defects will cause material discontinuities in uniform material. This discontinuity often leads to acoustic impedance inconsistent. Ultrasonic will reflect in the two different interfaces of  mediums. The size of the reflected energy has relationship with orientation and size of interface. Ultrasonic flaw detector with pulse reflection type is designed by this principle.

Now portable ultrasonic flaw detector with pulse reflection type are mostly scanned by scanning mode in the market. The ordinate is the amplitude of ultrasonic wave. The abscissa is the amplitude of propagation time or propagation distance.

For example, there is a defect in steel workpiece. This defect will create an interface between defects and steel material. Acoustic impedance is different between the interfaces. When the transmitted ultrasonic encounter this interface, there will be reflected. The reflected energy is received in a probe. In the abscissa of the screen will display a reflection wave. The position of abscissa is the depth of the defect in the detected material. The height and shapes of reflection wave are different with defects.
